About

We built Cino to give remote work a better memory

Why we started

The same gap kept returning

In 2023, after years leading distributed projects across multiple time zones, Elena and Mikael saw the same pattern: a clear meeting, decisions agreed, then silence. By the next standup, no one knew for sure who owned what or what had been decided.

The notes were there, but no one read them. Important context stayed in people's heads, then vanished as attention moved on. They searched for a tool to close the gap, but the strongest options ended at transcription. Converting decisions into tracked work was still manual.

Cino fills that gap. It is more than transcription: it turns a spoken commitment into a task in a tracker before it is forgotten. Cino drafts tasks from the meeting. A person still decides priority and gives final approval, while the move from spoken decision to written task no longer gets lost.

Elena Churilova, CEO and Co-Founder of Cino

Elena Churilova

CEO & Co-Founder

Elena has spent years building coordination and productivity tools for distributed teams, with product roles in remote collaboration software and async communication. She has run remote squads across multiple time zones, seeing the meeting to action gap firsthand, and started Cino to address it.

Mikael Jansen, CTO and Co-Founder of Cino

Mikael Jansen

CTO & Co-Founder

Mikael works across distributed systems, real time audio, and NLP pipeline engineering. Before Cino, he built infrastructure for a high throughput audio streaming platform and an automated speech analysis product. He leads Cino's real time processing layer.

How we work

Do what matters

A small team with one clear aim. We are not an all in one productivity suite. We focus on one problem and solve it properly.

Remote first

We work as a distributed team too. Each feature meets our own coordination needs first. We use what we build.

Clear about our stage

We are angel backed and early, not finished. Early access users see what works, what does not, and what we plan to build next.

Enter early access

Early teams get priority access and help shape Cino.
